HELP Children at Risk be able to continue to Support Families raising children diagnosed within the Autism Spectrum Disorder!!

 

Funds raised will support our Community-Based Special Projects.  These include our Recreational Respite Programs like Saturday Fun Club, Summer & March Break Camps, Ticket Donation Program and other Supports as Needed!  These valuable activities receive no government funding and are supported solely through Fundraising efforts and Donations.

POST CAMP K GREETINGS!

 

SO – Last Friday, August 9 – we wrapped up Children at Risk’s 14 Year of Camp Kaleidoscope!

 

As most of you are aware – due to a DEEP cut in our Funding – this was our smallest Camp EVER in our 14 Years of offering Camp K.

With rising Costs of Wages & Expenses – offering this Support at a reasonable rate is getting tougher and tougher.

​

We had no choice but to scale back this year for the Number of Weekly Camp Spots we could offer – as our Charity raises Funds through Grants, Fundraising and Donations to subsidize EACH Camp Spot – but 2 Challenging Years of Post-COVID finances has left little to no Reserve. 

​

NOW we are looking to the Fall and IF we can offer Saturday Fun Club Respite Sessions without an Influx of Monies….as Children at Risk is also looking in the Rear View Mirror at the horrible Memory of 2 OTTAWA AUTISM CHARITIES closing in April – Autism Awareness Month…

We are going to “Tip our Toes into the Water” and Launch a 50/50 Raffle – THAT CAN RAISE AS MUCH AS $50,000 – FOR THE CHARITY AND FOR THE WINNER!
