Saturday Fun Club Information

Children at Risk (CAR) has been offering Saturday Fun Club (SFC) Activity/Respite Sessions on Saturdays since November 2012. Utilizing Management and Counsellors from Children at Risk’s Camp Kaleidoscope, we used many of the activities that proved so successful at Camp.

Each SFC Session runs for 5 hours, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for children and youth aged 4 to 18+ years of age. SFC is not exactly like Summer Camp, but with adequate and qualified support staff, your child will have five hours of fun and creativity with their peers. Organized activities will include, but not limited to, Mad Science, Arts & Crafts, Board Games, Computer Games, and Gym Circuits just to name a few, which can turn Saturdays into the best day of their week! As at Camp, activities will align with age & ability, allowing participants to influence the content to have the best experience.

A CAR Membership is required for Insurance Liability purposes. The cost of a 2025 Children at Risk Membership is $75. In addition to the Membership, a separate fee is required per SFC Session. (The 2025 Saturday Fun Club price is $125 per Session.

The number of Saturdays each participant can be guaranteed will depend on the demand within the three age ranges, 4 to 8, 9 to 12 and 13 to 18+ years of age. These ranges are not fixed, as Participants will be grouped according to their best fit.

Once dates have been set, you will be required to complete a Registration Form, where you select the dates you would like your child to attend, and we will confirm which dates we can offer once all the Registrations have been received. We must balance out each Date/Session with a mix of younger, older and level of needs corresponding to staff available. Spots are limited.

(Note that due to the location, environment and availability of appropriate staff, we may not be able to accommodate some of our more challenged ASD youth that have had success at our Summer Camp.)
