After much deliberation and lots of re-scheduling – due to the horrible weather forecast – we are postponing the 2nd Annual “Walkin’ & Rockin’ for Risk” Fundraising Walk to Sunday, June 5. All the details will be the same – location, Band, Inflatables, BBQ…though we will probably have some changes in Vendors and VIP’s….

I will be contacting all Walkers, Vendors and Volunteers personally but this was the quickest way to let everyone know of this change…. Hope you can still join us on June 5!

With just over a Month now until Children at Risk's 2nd Annual "Walking' & Rockin' for Risk" Fundraising Event on Sunday, June 05, we need to get Registration Info out ASAP!

Last year we made a decision to replace our Annual Dance with an inaugural Fundraising Walk - and it was TERRIFIC! We have many donors who will provide Prizes - we have our Band, now Glass Onion, who still want to support Children at we incorporated both the Band and a Silent Auction into the Walk - and what is an outdoor event without a BBQ??!!

We are fortunate that our Charity is located in a building with great amenities - Parking, Washrooms, a Covered Structure and lots of space for our Walk!

We had to juggle some dates this year and have more details to work out between now and then BUT we really wanted our Members and Supporters to be aware NOW - and hopefully plan to join us!

So far we have:
WHAT: 2nd Annual "Walkin' (& Rockin') for Risk - a fundraising Walk, Auction and BBQ to raise funds for Children at Risk, Ottawa!
WHEN: Sunday, June 05, 2016, 1-4 PM in the afternoon
WHERE: Walk & Activities 235 Donald Street, in back of the building, around and under the covered structure WITH Honourary Walk Chair MPP Lisa MacLeod
HOW: Registration details attached - but will include live band Glass Onion, Silent Auction, launch of Spring Raffle Tickets, Family Activities, etc.
WHY: To help raise funds to finance Children at Risk supports like Camp Kaleidoscope, Saturday Fun Club, Family Fun Nights, Sibling Workshops, Typical Teen & Social Skill Groups - and More! Children at Risk does not receive government funding and assists over 400 Member Families in the local Ottawa Community - and what is RAISED HERE - STAYS HERE!

Attached are a Letter of Request that you can personalize (for Pledges or Prizes), Registration Form, Pledge Form & Vendor Registration for the Market Place.
